The Waterman Lions Club Summerfest and Antique Tractor Show will take place Saturday, July 19.

WATERMAN – The Waterman Lions Club will host a farm tractor pull and offer hot air balloon rides as part of the 14th annual Summerfest and Antique Tractor and Truck Show on Saturday, July 19, at Lions Park in Waterman. Tethered balloon rides will be offered, weather permitting, on a first-come, first-served basis between 6 and 7 a.m.

Other events include a French toast breakfast from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Activities for kids and adults will run all day and well into the evening. The day wraps up with a fireworks show and music by bands near the beer garden.

“We intend the Summerfest to be an affordable, family-oriented day of fun in the park," coordinator Leonard Johnson said. "There is no charge for many of the events.”

Johnson said there are many planned attractions centered on a display of antique tractors, trucks and engines. These include rides on the Waterman & Western Railroad miniature train, hay rides, barrel train rides, vintage base ball, Mr. Steve's Kids Show at 11 a.m., Lions food concessions, a craft show and flea market, a petting zoo, a Parade of Power, live music, cowboy quick-draw, pedal pull for kids and adults, trophy awards and a drawdown raffle.
