NewsExplore stained glass at Ellwood HouseJune 3, 2014 Children of all ages are invited to participate in a special tour of color, light and pattern at the Ellwood House Museum, 509 N. First St. in DeKalb at 4 p.m. June 12. The tour will explore the magnificent stained glass windows of both the Ellwood mansion and the newly acquired Ellwood-Nehring House. Visitors will learn about the history of stained glass, see colorful examples inside two of DeKalb’s grandest homes, and color their own stained glass designs on wax paper to take home. The cost is $5 per person, and the program will last one hour. Parents, grandparents and guardians of participants are also welcome to register for $5. Advanced registration is required.
