Public input sought on proposed Chamberlain Park changes

Published: Tuesday, June 3, 2014 7:57 a.m. CDT

GENOA – The Genoa Park District will host two public input meetings regarding some improvements/changes to Chamberlain Park. The district is in the process of applying for a grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and resident input is critical for the grant process.

Some of the planned changes/additions to Chamberlain Park include moving/rebuilding the skate park, converting the existing skate park back to a tennis court, and adding other possible features such as sand volleyball, shuffle ball, concrete Baggos, horseshoes, and pickleball.

The meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m. June 10 and 17 at the park district office, 400 E. Second St. For information, call Paul Bafia at 815-784-5612.
