DeKALB – Thanks to strong community support, Children’s Learning Center raised $2,520 at the annual Family Fun Night and Raffle on Wednesday, April 23. The festivities included silent auctions and raffle drawings, family activities led by CLC teachers, and a hot dog supper in the classrooms.

State Rep. Robert Pritchard joined nearly 200 parents, children, staff members, board members, and friends at Family Fun Night. Castle Bank, Crum-Halsted Agency Inc., Edward Don & Company, Gordon Food Service,  Kishwaukee Health Systems, Mike’s Auto & Truck, Performance–Fox River Foods, and Tom Price Financial Services provided event sponsorship. Members of NIU's Student Engagement and Experiential Learning Program assisted with food service. Area merchants, services and sports teams donated over 100 auction items and raffle prizes.

The mission of Children’s Learning Center is to make quality affordable early education and child care available to working low-income families in the DeKalb area. Children’s Learning Center is accredited by the National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs. CLC is a private, not-for-profit child care center serving 180 children; more than 70 percent receive child care subsidies. CLC is located at 905 S. Fourth St. in DeKalb.
