SHS appoints new dean of students

SYCAMORE – Sycamore Community Unit School District 427 has appointed Nicholas Reineck as the new dean of students at Sycamore High School. Reineck’s appointment was confirmed at the April 22 meeting of the board of education, and he will begin July 1.

Reineck has taught social science and drivers’ education for the past seven years at Rochelle Township High School in Rochelle.

Reineck is also a graduate of Rochelle Township High School. He holds a bachelor of science degree in social science from Knox College in Galesburg and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Aurora University.

“We are very excited to have Nick Reineck join our Sycamore High School team and become part of the Sycamore community,” SHS Principal Tim Carlson said. “He is a bright, intelligent and hard-working professional who will benefit the staff and students at Sycamore High School.”
