Springtime recipes at Taste of Home Cooking School
DeKALB – The perfect recipe for creating new memories includes good friends, good conversation and great food. The Taste of Home Cooking School is preparing to share seasonal recipes that are certain to delight.
Taste of Home’s local culinary specialist Eric Villegas will return by popular demand to the Egyptian Theatre at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 10, to share his home cooking tips and tricks while demonstrating step-by-step recipes for the season’s best dishes. Joining Chef Eric on stage once again will be local chef Gavin Wilson. This show is sponsored by The Daily Chronicle, B95 FM, and Paulsen Appliance.
The Taste of Home Cooking School is America’s leading cooking school program, inspiring more than 300,000 passionate home chefs at approximately 300 events nationwide. Attendees experience exciting recipe demonstrations using ingredients that are easily found at the local grocery store, and the recipes are submitted by home cooks from across the country.
“From experienced home chefs to beginners learning their way around the kitchen, the Taste of Home Cooking School offers something for everyone – putting a fresh spin on old favorites and adding new recipes to your seasonal repertoire,” Villegas said. “Almond torte is one of the recipes that will be demonstrated at the show. With its creamy custard filling and delightfully light texture, this not-too-sweet dessert is the perfect spring choice to make for your family and friends.”
Attendees will receive a gift bag including the Taste of Home Cooking School magazine, including recipes featured during the program as well as coupons from participating national food companies. Attendees can also enter for a chance to win door prizes.
