The Kirkland Lions Club held a successful meat raffle on March 8. There were four 50/50 drawings and a silent and live auction, and community support exceeded club members' expectations. Proceeds from the event help the Kirkland Food Pantry and Leader Dogs for the Blind. Among the raffle winners were zone chairperson Pam Graney (left), who won a 50/50 drawing, and Lions District Gov. Fred Peska (right), who won a meat bundle.
