Tasty ways to use fresh vegetables

SYCAMORE – Cooking with Fresh Garden Produce is a program designed to help participants learn how to prepare vegetables. It includes 13 kitchen-tested recipes plus practical tips for cooking safely, nutritional value, and healthy cooking methods. Participants will view a short cooking demonstration and have the opportunity to taste the prepared recipe.

Marilyn Csernus, University of Illinois Extension Nutrition and Wellness Educator, will present the program at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the DeKalb County Center for Agriculture, 1350 W. Prairie Drive in Sycamore. The fee for this program is $5.
