Bet your chips on mouse races for education

GENOA – The Genoa-Kingston Education Foundation will hold its fourth annual Mouse Race at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at the Legion Hall in Genoa.

The main event of the evening is the races, with real mice in a Plexiglas-enclosed race track.  There are six races, with nine mice in each race. The winners of each heat will then compete in a seventh race to determine the grand champion of the evening. Prizes are awarded to the sponsors of the winning mice in each heat and to the grand champion; mice are still available for sponsorship.

In addition to sponsorship, people who attend can bet their chips on the mouse of their choice. In between the races, guests can play mouse roulette, in which a real mouse chooses the winning number. Other activities will include a silent raffle.

To sponsor a mouse or to learn more about this event and the G-K Educatin Foundation, visit www.gkedfoundation.org or www.facebook.com/gkedfoundation. All proceeds from this event fund mini-grants that will be awarded to District 424 teachers in April.
