Sarah Bruckner of DeKalb is one of 21 Rosary High School seniors have been recognized as Illinois State Scholars by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for the 2013-14 school year. This year’s honorees represent 26 percent of the senior class.
The selection of Illinois State Scholars is based on SAT and ACT scores, and/or unweighted GPA at the end of the junior year.
“These State Scholar designees can be very proud, and so can all of the families and educators who were part of their achievement,” said Eric Zarnikow, ISAC Executive Director. “These young people don’t just represent the best in educational excellence in Illinois. Their hard work and continued success are going to be a key to the state’s economic well-being in the future.”
