HINCKLEY – The Hinckley Historical Society and the Hinckley Public Library will sponsor an antiques appraisal fundraiser at 6 p.m. Monday, March 3. The event will be held at the Hinckley Community Building, 120 Maple St.

Mark Moran, author of more than 25 books on antiques and collectibles and an appraiser for more than 20 years, will evaluate and give information on items brought in by participants. There will be 40 slots for appraisals, so advance registration is required. Register at the Hinckley Public Library, 100 Maple St. There is a registration fee of $15 per item.

Those not having an item appraised are welcome to come out for an evening of information and entertainment.

No weapons, including swords and knives (though folding knives with advertising are accepted), coins or currency, Beanie Babies, or fine jewelry, including precious gems, will be appraised.

Contact historical society president George Hubert at 815-286-7434 or the Hinckley Public Library at 815-286-3220 for more information.
