Aves reelected to 1st Farm board
KIRKLAND – Kevin Aves of Kirkland has been reelected to his position on the 1st Farm Credit Services Board of Directors.
Aves was among five members who were reelected or reappointed to their posts after client-owner elections and board actions in December.
The board of directors is comprised of 15 members, 12 of whom are elected by the association’s voting stockholders. The board meets regularly to set policy and business direction and to monitor and evaluate operations of the farmer-owned cooperative.
Aves farms with family members in their corn, soybean and wheat operation. He serves as a trustee and treasurer of the Kirkland Community Fire District. Aves served as chairperson on both the governance and compensation committees. He also served on the executive committee. He has served on the board since 1992.
