U of I ag seminar focuses on soil, water, air

SYCAMORE – Soil, water, and air interactions will be the focus of a soil and water management seminar sponsored by University of Illinois Extension on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The workshop will be held at the DeKalb County Extension, 1350 W. Prairie Drive in Sycamore, from 9 a.m. to 2: 30 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

“Those attending will hear about cover crops, vertical tillage equipment, the effect of the Birds Point Levy breach on cropland, using wetlands to reduce nutrient loading, and managing soil to adapt to climate change,” said Duane Friend, U of I Extension educator.
