Students invited to tech conference

DeKALB – Students in grades 3-12 are invited to participate in the Students Involved with Technology Conference (SIT) on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at DeKalb High School, 501 W. Dresser Road in DeKalb.

The registration fee for the conference is $25 and includes hands-on activities, competitions, a keynote speaker, a snack and lunch, a T-shirt, many different technology sessions to attend and many chances to win prizes. Presenters are needed and participants have the option to present solo or as a group (30 minutes).

A sampling of some of the sessions available are photo and video editing, geocaching, digital art, robotics, programming, remote sensing, Google Earth, logo design, wind energy, animation, Google apps, game development, multimedia design and mobile apps.
