Fourth-graders donate diorama to hospital

Published: Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT
Brad Copple, (center) president of Kishwaukee and Valley West hospitals, visited Allyson Holder's fourth-grade class at North Grove Elementary School in Sycamore. The students had created a diorama of a winter scene and donated it to Kishwaukee Hospital. The students chose the attribute of fairness for the diorama, with a card on the front that says, "Fairness is seen in the way we treat others. Remember to treat everyone fairly." The students said they associated the theme of fairness with the hospital, because the hospital treats everyone fairly. The diorama is on display in the hospital's cafeteria.
