SYCAMORE – On Friday, Dec. 6, carolers from The Federated Church in Sycamore will visit DeKalb Area Retirement Center-Oak Crest and the DeKalb County Nursing & Rehab Center to share some Christmas spirit with the residents there.

Then on Sunday, Dec. 8, the congregation will continue its celebration of the upcoming Christmas season with the “Hanging of the Greens” during the 10 a.m. worship service. Continuing a long-standing tradition of family participation in worship, the second of four Advent candles will be lit by a Federated family.

After worship, there will be an Advent Workshop. Lunch will be provided, then kids of all ages will participate in holiday craft centers set up around the Fellowship Hall.

Federated Church is located at 612 W. State St. in Sycamore. For more information, visit sycamorefederatedchurch.org or call the church office at 815-895-5706.
