On Oct. 19, Tyler Walker led an Eagle Scout project at Lions Park in Genoa. Volunteers from Boy Scout Troop 71, the Genoa Lions Club, Genoa Township Park District and others cleared brush and dead trees along the drainage area. The cleanup enhanced the aesthetics and safety of the park. The City of Genoa picked up and mulched all the brush and branches after the project was complete.
