KishHealth System Foundation accepted a generous donation for the KishHealth System Cancer Center from Monsanto Waterman Seed Production. The site sold more than 500 T-shirts to employees, harvest truck drivers, and farmers in the Rock Falls area and raised $5,470 for breast cancer program support. “This is the second year we’ve sold T-shirts in September and October to promote breast cancer awareness,” site manager Troy Dukes said. “We were happy to be able to raise money for this important cause.” The bright pink T-shirts featured the DeKalb Ag winged ear logo on the front and the phrase ‘Picking With A Purpose’ on the back. “It’s great when so many people who donated to this cause continue to show their support by wearing the T-shirt,” seed quality supervisor Rachel Enfield added.
