Larkins completes professional course

DeKALB – Rob Larkins of Sycamore, a physical therapist at Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists in DeKalb, recently completed an 18-month doctorate program for physical therapists. Larkins graduated from the Evidence In Motion Institute for Health Professions (EIM); this program is designed to improve the clinical knowledge of physical therapists with coursework built upon the current best evidence for the management of musculoskeletal disorders.

The EIM Doctorate program includes a comprehensive blend of didactic, collaborative, and clinical education experiences using a combination of distance learning, online courses, weekend intensive hands-on courses, and clinical practice hours.

The courses are taught by EIM’s world-class faculty, many of whom are internationally recognized for their contributions to education, research and practice management.

Larkins has a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy and has worked at Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists since 2000. He practices at Northern Rehab’s 232 W. Lincoln Highway branch in DeKalb.

Larkins is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist who has extensive training in industrial medicine and experience working with local industry on injury prevention, fitness and return-to-work rehabilitation programs. Larkins also serves in the Army National Guard as the group physical therapist for 20th Special Forces Group.
