MALTA – Malta and Northwest Malta United Methodist churches welcomed a new pastor, the Rev. Dr. Noah R. Panlilio.

Panlilio is originally from Manila, Philippines. Prior to his appointment in Malta, he served several United Methodist churches in Chicago and its suburbs. He has served as a university faculty, hospital and police chaplain, and also organizes and leads Volunteer In Mission work teams to the Philippines. Volunteer teams work and bring medical and dental assistance to mission churches and communities in rural areas and Manila’s inner city.

Panlilio is also active in civic and community organizations, including Boy Scouts of America, Lions International, Masonic Lodge, and religious ecumenical groups. His daughter, Reanna Grace, is in eighth grade.

Panlilio intends to reach out to the “unchurched,” developing leaders and church growth. He plans to extend ministries to the community.

Malta United Methodist Church is located at 201 E. Sprague St. and Northwest Malta United Methodist Church is on the corner of McQueen and Rich Roads in rural Malta. For more information, call 815-825-2118.
