Pumpkin Festival events include zombie mini-golf
SYCAMORE - The Sycamore Public Library is planning its second annual zombie miniature golf event on Saturday with a revised price structure aimed at getting groups to participate.
“We wanted to make it a little more affordable and easier for more people to come play,” said Sarah Tobias, director of the library. Tickets are $5 per person, $15 for a family of four, and $25 for groups of more than four.
The zombie miniature golf event is the library’s biggest fundraising event of the year. It will run from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, and the course will feature 18 holes of miniature golf on both levels of the library, a photo booth, a concession booth featuring chocolate brain suckers and zombie cookies, and, of course, zombies throughout the library to frighten golfers.
“From 1 until 2 we are going to be gentler zombies for people who have kids who might be afraid but still want to play, and we recommend they come then,” Tobias said. “After that, no holds barred. The zombies will be in high zombie form.”
Sycamore Public Library will be closed for regular business on Oct. 26 for the zombie golf event, and on Oct. 27 for the Sycamore Pumpkin Festival. For more information, visit www.sycamorelibrary.org.
