Open auditions for ‘The Three Musketeers’

DeKALB — CCT will hold open auditions Oct. 20 and 21 for its January production of “The Three Musketeers.”

Auditions will take place from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20 and 6:30-9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, at First United Methodist Church, 321 Oak St. in DeKalb. Auditions are open to adults and teens in high school or older.

The play is based on the classic swashbuckler by Alexandre Dumas, a tale of heroism, treachery, narrow escapes and above all else, honor. The play’s rich costumes and scenery, along with swordplay, promise an exciting production, said CCT President George Schippits.

“Swords are not required at auditions, but we will be seeking those with a desire and work ethic to bring DeKalb a show the likes of which they have never seen,” he said.

The show will be Jan. 12-13 and 19-20, 2014, with six performances in all. For information, visit CCTOnstage.com.
