Published: Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013 10:24 a.m. CDT

SYCAMORE – The Sycamore Chamber of Commerce will host a Small Business Roundtable from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Mitchel Lounge in Sycamore to discuss “High Efficiency Savings,” presented by Jason Todd of Ikon Electric.

Todd will speak about how Sycamore businesses can receive a free energy assessment by a ComEd engineer, upgrade their lighting, save on energy bills and save up to 75 percent on installation.

Ikon works with commercial end-users and with contractors to facilitate installation of energy-saving equipment in accordance with utility programs. Businesses often save hundreds or thousands of dollars or more on installation.

“Small Business Roundtables bring entrepreneurs and small businesses together to provide a forum to discuss issues impacting our business community,” said Rose Treml, executive director of the Sycamore Chamber of Commerce. Members meet on a regular basis to discuss a variety of topics such as laws and regulations for small businesses, advertising, social media marketing, Quick Books, credit card fees, and human resource issues.

This program is free to chamber members and nonmembers. Reservations are required; call the Sycamore Chamber at 815-895-3456.
