Small business talk on health care act

SYCAMORE –  The Sycamore Chamber of Commerce will hold a Small Business Roundtable from1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10 at the Mitchel Lounge in Sycamore to discuss the Affordable Care Act. Representatives from Crum-Halsted Insurance, Insphere Insurance, Moore Financial Services, MyInsuranceGuy and Pardridge Insurance will speak on a panel about a number of points, including health insurance basics, health insurance marketplace, businesses under 50 employees, businesses 50+ employees, and more.

"Small Business Roundtables bring entrepreneurs and small businesses together to provide a forum to discuss issues impacting our business community,” said Rose Treml, executive director of the Sycamore Chamber of Commerce. Members meet on a regular basis to discuss a variety of topics such as current laws and regulations for small businesses, advertising, social media marketing, Quick Books, credit card fees, human resources issues and more.

“ We invite you to join us in this informative discussion with those who know about health care reform and the employer mandates that will be going into effect in 2014,” Treml said. “We are working diligently to inform our members about the impact of this complex law."
