An survey of what attractions visitors would like to see at Shabbona Lake State Park was conducted from July 22 through Aug. 11 at the request of the Economic Committee of the Shabbona Village Board. There were 594 responses.

Most respondents said they visit the park two to five times a year and travel 21 to 50 miles to get there. Popular proposals included a lodge, off-road bike trail, and toboggan hill. Respondents did not want to see gaming machines, a banquet facility, a zip line or boat storage facilities.

The complete list of responses can be viewed online at www.shabbonalake.com.
