DeKALB – On Sept. 1, KishHealth System will launch a new branding initiative that makes minor changes to its logo and the names of some of its affiliated entities.
From research conducted over the past year, health system officials learned many consumers are unfamiliar with all the health system’s services, according to a news release. To make it easier for people to see the entire range of the health system’s offerings, it will merge its 16 websites – for such branches as its two hospitals, three cancer centers, family practitioners and hospice – into one site, www.kishhealth.org.
Many of the health system’s entities will undergo minor name changes. The word “community” will be dropped from the names of Kishwaukee and Valley West community hospitals, and the hospitals’ affiliated cancer centers will be referred to as the KishHealth System Cancer Center. In addition, entities with names like the KishHealth Foundation and KishHealth Physician Group will become the KishHealth System Foundation and KishHealth System Physician Group.
In more noticeable name changes, DeKalb County Hospice, Unlimited Performance Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the KishHealth Counseling Center will become KishHealth System Hospice, KishHealth System Physical Therapy Center and KishHealth System Behavioral Health Services, respectively.
