Farm stand sells ‘corn for cancer’
DeKALB – Yaeger’s Farm Market has dedicated the month of August to battling cancer.
“My grandmother passed away from colon cancer in 1985, when I was a senior in high school,” said Mark Yaeger, who co-owns the market east of DeKalb on Route 38 with his parents. Recently, the same disease struck a person who has been Yaeger’s friend since middle school.
“My best friend was diagnosed with colon cancer just after Christmas,” he said.
