Folk trio to perform at DeKalb church

The Brother Sun Trio will perform at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of DeKalb on July 18.

DeKALB – National artists Greg Greenway, Joe Jencks and Pat Wictor each have made their mark as veteran touring singer-songwriters and have come together to form an exciting and popular trio. The Brother Sun Trio’s harmonies and lyrics will provide a great evening of song and fun on Thursday, July 18, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of DeKalb, at North Fourth and Locust streets in DeKalb.

Fusing folk, Americana, blues, pop, jazz, rock and a capella, Brother Sun is an explosion of musical diversity and harmony. They will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 18 at the church. Tickets are $15 each, and the doors open at 7 p.m.

Brother Sun’s new CD, “Some Part of the Truth,” debuted at No. 1 on the folk chart and remained there for nine consecutive weeks. The first track of the CD, “Lady of the Harbor,” also debuted at No. 1. It remained there for four weeks and still is in the Top 10.
