Saturday, July 13 will be the next monthly Ask a Lawyer Day sponsored by the Kane County Bar Association.
On the second Saturday of each month in 2013, attorney volunteers take calls from 9 a.m. until noon and offer members of the public free consultations on legal matters. It is a chance for people to ask questions and find direction in legal matters.
Members of the public can call 630-762-1900 during the three-hour event to speak with an attorney. Call volume is high and volunteers cannot access voice mail messages, so callers are urged to keep trying if the line is busy.
Last month, dozens of callers were helped with legal problems regarding issues in real estate, landlord/tenant, criminal, estates and wills, divorce, child custody, collections, bankruptcy, and traffic.
