SYCAMORE – KishHealth Laboratories will host an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at its new location in Sycamore. The new KishHealth Laboratories patient service center is located in the Midwest Orthopaedic Institute building, and the open house will feature tours and refreshments.

“With the addition of the lab at M.O.I., we are happy to have two patient service locations available to the community. Our other lab is located within the Center for Family Health, located at 165 E. Plank Road in Sycamore,” said Dorrie Kasmar, KishHealth Laboratories director. “This addition illustrates the health system’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, cost-effective laboratory services right here in our community.”

Lab testing is done at Kishwaukee Community Hospital. The outreach program provides laboratory testing for local physicians under the direction of Krishna Reddy, MD, laboratory medical director, and Kasmar. Walk-ins are accepted at both locations.

KishHealth Laboratories offers physicians and their patients local laboratory testing and access to KishHealth laboratory professionals and specialized consultations. Future plans for the program includes electronic health record connectivity for lab results, which will allow lab results to go directly into a patient’s electronic medical record.
