RAMP announces first DeKalb Co. luncheon
SYCAMORE – RAMP Center for Independent Living will host its first DeKalb County Changing Attitudes Breaking Barriers Luncheon Tuesday, Sept. 12 at The Regale Center. The keynote speaker will be Stevie Hopkins, director of awesome at 3E Love.
Hopkins is a serial entrepreneur who found his life’s work in 3E Love LLC, a social experiment designed to change the perception of disability. The company’s trademarked International Symbol of Acceptance (wheelchair heart logo) is the drive behind its social mission to provide the tools for others to embrace diversity, educate society and empower each other to love life.
RAMP’s luncheon seeks to entertain and educate a broad range of people. The desired result is for people who attend to be more aware and supportive of RAMP’s mission to promote an accessible society that allows and expects full participation by people with disabilities. The luncheon also provides RAMP the opportunity to inform and update the community on its current efforts and successes.
