History museum offers summer fun
SYCAMORE – The Sycamore History Museum can help families fill their calendar this summer. A variety of programs are offered for adults, children and families, often for $5 or less.
• Steven Bigolin will lead guided walking tours in Sycamore’s historic district the first and third Sundays of each month, June through September. Tours are $5. They begin at 1 p.m. at the farmers market at the corner of Somonauk and Elm streets. Wear comfortable shoes.
• At noon on June 6, Betty Mullins will talk about playing baseball in 1948 with the Grand Rapids Chicks, an All-American Girls Professional Baseball League team. The talk is free, but donations are welcome. Coffee and cookies are provided.
