Classes in GED, driving for Spanish speakers

SYCAMORE – Spanish speakers who would like to learn to speak English, or who would like to take the GED or Illinois driver’s license tests, can find help at Esperanza en Unidad (Hope in Unity).

A group of volunteers from Northern Illinois University and the DeKalb-Sycamore community offers classes to prepare Spanish speakers for the GED and driving tests, and teaches Spanish and English language classes.

Classes will be conducted from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays in the offices at 2225 Gateway Drive in Sycamore, near Kishwaukee Community Hospital.
