SYCAMORE – The Sycamore Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Club is offering two scholarships to Sycamore High School seniors. Students who have been active in the Sycamore community through volunteerism or have been involved in a service organization such as Interact, Student Ambassadors, Key Club, etc., and who plan on attending a four-year college, community college or trade/vocational school may be eligible to apply.

The scholarship award is for a total of $500 for two students’ freshman years and can be used for tuition, room and board, books and class fees. An application may be picked up at the Sycamore High School Guidance Office. The application deadline is Friday, May 10.

“The Sycamore Chamber Ambassadors is an invaluable group of community leaders that serve as the volunteer force for a variety of community and chamber events. Ambassadors welcome new businesses to our community and serve as mentors throughout the year. These community leaders assist new business people in getting acclimated into the business community and create solidarity within the chamber membership,“ Sycamore Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Rose Treml said. “We are proud to offer these scholarships to two high school seniors in appreciation for their efforts in keeping our community a great place to live, work and play.”
