Salons collect coats for the needy

Chicago-area Hair Cuttery salons will help their customers both look and feel good this holiday season – and to do some good as well. The 75 Hair Cuttery salons throughout Chicago will support Krausey’s Koats – an effort begun by Joe Krause of Philadelphia – by collecting gently-used cold-weather gear for those in need.

Hair Cuttery has partnered with the Krausey’s Koats campaign for the past two years and has collected 6,500 coats for those in need.

“This year we hope to collect even more cold-weather clothing for those in need,” said Dennis Ratner, Founder and CEO of Ratner Companies, parent company of Hair Cuttery. “We ask all those in the community to give from their hearts.”
