Children put on 'Polar Express'

SYCAMORE – On Sunday morning, December 16, the Kids’ Club from The Federated Church in Sycamore will put on their version of “The Polar Express,” a play about visiting the North Pole, believing in Santa Claus and the special powers of the sound of the sleigh bells.

The play will take place during the regular 10 a.m. worship service. The chancel choir will sing “Go Tell It On The Mountain” while the ‘train’ circles through the sanctuary, and the handbell choir, masquerading as reindeer, will play “The Carol of the Bells.” What happens when the boy discovers a hole in his pocket  – the very pocket where he stashed a very special bell?

Federated Church is located at 612 W. State St. (Route 64), with parking available behind the building, off of Greeley Street. For more information visit sycamorefederatedchurch.org or call the church office at 815-895-2706.
