Indoor farmers market beats the chill

DeKALB – The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of DeKalb, 158 N. Fourth St. in DeKalb, will host a winter farmers market with arts and crafts from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8.

More than 25 vendors, some joining the market for the first time, will sell such items as grass-fed beef, free-range chickens and eggs, locally-produced honey and elderberry jelly, homespun yarn, fresh-baked French pastries, handmade jewelry, knitted items, birdhouses, suncatchers, goat-milk soap, weaving tools and wood carvings. There will also be a used book sale with a wide variety of books to choose from.

Contributing to the market’s festive atmosphere will be live music all day and hot food available for purchase.
