Country music toy drive in its 43rd year

DeKALB – Just as they have for the past 42 years, country, gospel and bluegrass fans will gather up new toys soon for Gary Mullis' Country Music Show Toy Drive.

The show, scheduled for 1:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, is in its 43rd year. Local and regional country, bluegrass and gospel musicians will perform, and admission to the show is one new, unwrapped toy. Toys are distributed to needy children through the DeKalb County Salvation Army.

Musicians scheduled to perform include the Jim Gibson Bluegrass Group, Dale and Diana Reints, Matthew Littlejohn, the Kings Brothers and Mullis himself. Other country, bluegrass and gospel entertainers are invited to perform.
