Downtown window displays come to life

SYCAMORE – Discover Sycamore presents the second annual Moonlight Madness event on Friday, Nov. 16 to kick off the holiday shopping season.

Participating businesses will feature special sales. Shoppers can beat the Black Friday crowds and get their holiday shopping done a week early while supporting local merchants.

The storefront windows lining State Street will come alive from 6 to 8 p.m. Live holiday displays will be featured in the windows of the following businesses: Sweet Earth Jewelry and Gifts, Stomp Shoes, The Confectionary, Taxco Restaurant, Shop in Style and Sycamore Antiques. Local arts organizations such as the Sycamore Performing Arts Academy, Sycamore Public Library, Beth Fowler Dance Company, Sycamore High School’s Orchesis Dance Troupe and Northern Illinois Dance Center will create holiday scenes with live performers, dancers and musicians. It’s sure to be a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.
