Theater hosts one-day fine arts sale

DeKALB – The Egyptian Theatre, 135 N. Second St. in DeKalb, will host a one-day holiday art sale, featuring 10 DeKalb-area artists, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11.

This holiday art sale has a 20-year tradition. It first supported the Jewish community with a percentage of sales. The annual fine art sale has evolved through a rotation of locations, artists and premise, but the Egyptian Theatre has hosted this event most frequently. Dale Osterle is the anchor for this group of fine artists, and has been an active local artist for the last 40 years. Recently many of her hand-painted intaglios have been juried into national and regional shows.

Other notable fine artists, many of whom are recognized nationally and internationally, with work in the show include Dorothea Bilder, Melanie Dietrich, Susan Edwards, Michelle Erickson-Goettl,  Daniel Grych, Lori Hartenhoff, Joyce Klein-Munch, James Rousonelos and Barbara Thomas.
