Park board names new member

SYCAMORE – At its October meeting, the Board of Commissioners of the Sycamore Park District voted to appoint William “Bill” Kroeger to replace retiring Commissioner John Owens. Kroeger will fill the position until April 2013, when the remaining two years of Owens’ term will be filled by election.

Kroeger has lived in Sycamore for 21 years with his wife, Darla, and has two sons. He said he wanted to “help support the board with ideas to renovate and expand present parks and facilities to ensure our park district grows with the community.”
