Low-cost pet vaccine clinic
GENOA – SPAY ILLINOIS will host a low-cost pet vaccine clinic from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, at the DeKalb County Animal Shelter, 16173 Baseline Road in Genoa. The clinic is by appointment only, and payment must be made with cash or a credit card; no personal checks will be accepted.
The clinic will offer one-year rabies vaccines for $18 plus county tag; three-year rabies vaccines for $35 plus county tag, five-in-one distemper combo vaccines for $15, six-in-one distemper combos for $20, bordetella vaccines for $15, Lyme vaccines for $20, Lepto vaccines for $15, heartworm testing for $20, microchipping for $25, including registration, FVRCP (four-in-one distemper combo for cats) for $15, Felv vaccine for $20, Felv/Fiv testing for $25, fecal testing for $15 and low-cost heartworm prevention. The clinic will also have dog packages, everything a dog needs for the year, for $65 or cat packages for $40. There is no exam fee when receiving vaccines.
People receiving food stamps can receive a discount on their pets’ vaccines if the animals are spayed or neutered. People on food stamps can have unaltered pets spayed or neutered for $15.
