Olson presents at conference

DeKALB – Ken Olson, physical therapist with Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists in DeKalb, recently presented a workshop on teaching manipulation to entry-level physical therapy students at the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists Conference in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. There were 1,500 physical therapists from 48 countries in attendance.

Olson promoted his work to enhance the level of instruction in manipulation techniques in the curriculum of the 208 physical therapy programs in the United States, including promoting his textbook, “Manual Physical Therapy of the Spine,” published in 2009.

Olson, an executive committee member of the federation, was re-elected for an additional four-year term to serve this professional organization, whose mission is to promote worldwide excellence in the practice, education and research of orthopedic manual physical therapy.  Olson has been a partner with Northern Rehab since 1996.
