Test drives earn donations for school
SYCAMORE – From noon to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, Brian Bemis World Auto will join parents and teachers at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Sycamore for a fundraiser.
During the school’s Fall Festival, Chrysler will donate $10 to the school every time a visitor to the festival takes a test drive in the 2012 Chrysler Town & Country. Any licensed driver 18 or older may drive and earn a donation for St. Mary’s Catholic School. There is no limit to the number of drives or Chrysler’s contribution. Brian Bemis World Auto will provide minivans and insurance for the event, and volunteers from the dealership will be on hand to help out with the fundraising test drives.
“The Chrysler brand is dedicated to supporting the enrichment of our schools and with the assistance of our local dealerships, the Drive for the Kids program has helped to raise funds for local schools across the country,” said Jeff Kommor, Midwest Business Center representative.
In 1993, Chrysler introduced Drive for the Kids and became the first automotive manufacturer to reach out in direct support of local schools. Since then Chrysler has contributed more than $4 million to schools in communities where Chrysler and its dealers do business.
