Brookfield Zoo comes to Midwest Museum
SYCAMORE – Rather than dealing with the hassle of driving into the Chicago suburbs to visit a zoo, local residents have one coming to them on Saturday.
Members of the staff at Brookfield Zoo will give a live animal presentation from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Midwest Museum of Natural History, 425 W. State St., Sycamore.
Museum staff member Bethany Gilliam said it is up to zoo officials to decide which animals will be in the presentation, and the museum probably won’t know until the last minute. During the presentation, Gilliam said the animals will be shown to the audience one at a time with a description of each one and how they are “unique and important.”
