Police collect old guns, ammo

MAPLE PARK – The Maple Park Police Department is conducting a firearm and ammunition turn-in program through Monday to get unwanted firearms and ammunition safely off the streets.

Anyone with firearms or ammunition they wish to dispose of may drop them off at the Maple Park police station or hand them over to a Maple Park police officer through Oct. 8. Those turning in items a receipt.

To arrange pickup of guns or ammunition, leave a message for Sgt. Hodges at 815-827-3286, option 2.
