Benefit for Sycamore woman

ELBURN – A pig roast benefit is scheduled Saturday for a Sycamore woman who is fighting Hodgkin’s lymphoma and is in need of assistance in covering her medical expenses.

The benefit for Katie Meier, 31, is scheduled from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Elburn Lions Community Park, 500 Filmore St., Elburn.

The benefit will include face painting, inflatables for the kids, a silent auction and raffle. Stroker Red is scheduled to perform from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
