WNIJ digs into election coverage

DeKALB – 89.5 WNIJ carries National Public Radio’s extensive coverage of the 2012 national elections. WNIJ’s newsroom digs into Congressional races in the six districts of its listening area.

WNIJ Morning Edition host Dan Klefstad teams up with Northern Illinois University political science professor Matt Streb for a series of reports to air Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, Oct. 22 to Nov. 2. Featured candidates include Cheri Bustos (D) and Bobby Schilling (R), District 17; Leslie Coolidge (D) and Peter J. Roskam (R), District 6; Dennis Anderson (D) and Randy M. Hultgren (R), District 14; Bill Foster (D) and Judy Biggert (R), District 11; Tammy Duckworth (D) and Joe Walsh (R), District 8; and Wanda Rohl (D) and Adam Kinzinger (R). District 16. Klefstad’s conversations with Streb will air at 5:30 and 7:30 a.m.; candidate profiles will air at 6:30 and 8:30 a.m. Morning Edition airs weekdays, 5-9 a.m., on 89.5 FM or streamed at www.wnij.org.
