WATERMAN – Ernest and Wilma Kastler of Waterman will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 27.

Wilma Kahle and Ernest Kastler were married Sept. 27, 1947, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hinckley. He was employed by DeKalb AgResearch for more than 35 years in the DeKalb poultry department and Waterman corn division.

The couple has three daughters, Debra (Chuck) Leingang of St. Charles, Sue (Randy) Wordan of Sycamore and the late Sharon Kastler. The couple also has two grandchildren, Kelsey and Kahlee Leingang of Chicago.
