Mutts strut their stuff for TAILS

DeKALB—TAILS Humane Society’s Mutt Strut Dogwalk and Fun Fest will be held Saturday, Sept. 22 in Hopkins Park in DeKalb. New this year, the 5K-9 Race for the Rescues will kick off at 9:30 a.m., followed by the dogwalk and fun fest from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The fun fest will feature agility demonstrations, PETCO-sponsored contests for owners and dogs, a DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office K-9 demonstration and dog Olympics hosted by Dog Scouts of America Troop 208. Breed rescues and adoptable pets from TAILS will also be onsite for adoption. Food will be provided by Noodles and Co. and Culver’s.

Admission to the fun fest is free, though dog walkers and racers are asked to register in advance at www.tailshumanesociety.org. Registration fees apply.
